This image is my most successful image because it perfectly encapsulated an explanatory image while also showing one of my favorite hobbies. It shows what went into the painting and explains the process of mixing colors, using different brushes and creativity that went into this image!
The most challenging part of this assignment was choosing which images I wanted to photograph and which ones I wanted to use from other artists!
In the future I want to continue to show my personality through my photography and get to experiment and try different techniques and types of photography.

Hi Jessica! I love your explanatory image of the dog painting and its corresponding paint colors. I think it is very clear at explaining that the colors on the palette are the ones used in the painting. The background is neutral, clearly leading the viewer's eyes to the painting and palette. I also like how you arranged the two subjects into the frame, giving the viewer multiple places to look at, but not in an overwhelming fashion. By the way, your painting is amazing and I love the dog's eyes. Great job on this project!!

Hi Jessica! I really like this explanatory image you took; it perfectly showcases how you create your art. I think having the two focal points of the paint and the painting is really interesting, it's almost like a before and after of a painting (you start out with just paint and then create something beautiful). I also think what you said about showing your personality through photography is really smart, when we are focusing on a subject we enjoy, we can create much better images!

Not only do I love the layout of how you organized it on your website, but I really think you grasped a lot of varying content, which I admire. I was really drawn to your photography of the books at the UD Bookstore, as this was similar to my image I chose to photograph. I admire how you chose books with varying colored book covers as the focal point, because the photo overall was really vibrant. As a descriptive image, I think you captured this in a good way, because I was also intrigued about the book choices pictured, which is a key element in this form of descriptive photography (grabbing people’s attention towards the books).
